Join our photo lessons in Georgetown which is one of the excellent locales in the rotation of many Washington D.C venus that offer terrific photo opportunities.

When people think of Georgetown most often they think of the shopping, restaurants, and nightlife of M Street and the lower end of Wisconsin Avenue but Georgetown is much more than that. The C&O Canal starts in Georgetown and just a couple of blocks north of M Street there are treelined streets just waiting to be explored. Join your Digital Photo Academy instructor for a walk through the Georgetown that many people never take the time to see.

From the edge of the Potomac and Washington Harbor north through Georgetown there will be plenty to see and photograph. Taking time to find those images that others miss is one of the great rewards of photography and Georgetown has quite a few! Bold colors and ornate details await the photographer who seeks them out. Learn how to use depth of field to bring the details you want into focus while letting other details blend together into the background.

Learn how lens choice helps you control what you see in the frame and how it can help to give your images a sense of place. Join us for some photographic fun walking through the streets of this wonderful part of DC. You never know who you will find watching the days go by in Georgetown.

Please bring your DSLR or another type of digital camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and a spare battery if you have one. Comfortable walking shoes will make the walk much more pleasant and be sure to dress for the weather. Meet the group at Francis Scott Key Park 34th and M Street, NW Washington, D.C. The park is about a 15 minute walk from Rosslyn Metro Station (Blue and Orange lines) across the Key Bridge.

Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number.  It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering.  If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at DPAbooking@digitalphotoacademy.com or Richard@digitalphotoacademy.com.
