ASK ABOUT OUR BACK-TO-BACK SAME DAY WORKSHOP OFFER STARTING WITH A SIT-DOWN SESSION FOLLOWED BY A 3-HOUR DEMONSTRATION PHOTO SHOOT, LED BY A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

The variety of photo ops at Tradewinds include waterscapes including charming wooden foot bridges, landscapes, flowers, birds and even steam trains and horses as well as their colorful stables.

This locale, 625 acres, is worth more than a single visit and thus you will have an abundance to photograph in a 3 hour workshop led by your photo instructor. Even beautiful flowers alone can consume the session with composition strategies such as Aperture Priority shots to highlight a single bud while creating an impressionistic, blurred background of vibrant colors to highlight your main subject. Get closer and create a floral abstract, allowing your viewer to get lost in winding edges of the petals within which fill the entire frame.

For landscape photo ops there are trees and bushes, collectively and individually, which can serve as portfolio worthy images, such as a close up abstraction of a winding tree trunk that has stories to tell. There are colorful trains which can be captured from a variety of compositional angles to such as Leading Lines to delight the viewers who can get lost within the frame of your shot.

Waterscapes are also part of the curriculum whether accessorized by a lone fisherman, or a father and son depicting a universal story. There is a scenic footbridge on the property that makes for an environmental shot that shares a visual narrative. Practice different angles and perspectives with the bridge to offer a variety of interpretations. Sometimes sunlight can appear burnt out in your image but your instructor provides advice and technique to avoid this common problem. Learn panning as horses in motion can be seen at the in and around the stables, with and without riders. The horse stable itself is an architectural photo op, either close up for textural details or from a broader perspective as an iconic scene of Americana.

And birds in flight or simply perched atop a piling or fence are always a photo op. Your instructor will offer lessons on Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines and working with the available light that is crucial to catch just at the right moment as clouds move by and often obscure important sun light to catch the brightest moment.

Meeting place can be south entrance in front of Butterfly world parking lot at 3600 West Sample Road, Tradewinds Park, Coconut Creek, FL 33073.

Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number.  It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering.  If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at DPAbooking@digitalphotoacademy.com.
