About Digital Photo Academy

Digital Photo Academy launched in 2006 with a mission to help people get the most out of their cameras through guidance from inspiring, knowledgeable professional instructors.

Today, we offer monthly, in-person, small-group photography workshops in 24 cities across North America, along with private lessons and online classes. Our classes are designed for photo enthusiasts of all levels, including complete beginners.

Students learn how to use automatic and manual camera settings, smartphone photography features, composition techniques, post-capture editing, and much more. Whether you are preparing for a trip, trying to understand a new camera, improving your smartphone photos, or simply looking for a creative experience, our workshops are built to help you take better pictures with more confidence.

Our in-the-field workshops take place in locations full of photogenic possibilities, from landscapes, seascapes, architecture, gardens, wildlife, and street scenes to interiors, markets, people, sports, and everything in between.

Digital Photo Academy instructors are active photographers who live where they teach. They know the most photogenic local spots in their cities and bring both photography experience and teaching experience to every class.
