Venue Description:

Established in 1931 to house workers constructing the Hoover Dam, Boulder City has evolved into a unique community known for its historic charm and distinctive character. Your Digital Photo Academy instructor will lead you to endless photo ops and offer suggestions on composition strategies that yield portfolio worthy images.

Today, the city is recognized for its well-preserved, mid-20th-century architecture, outdoor recreational opportunities, and a quaint atmosphere that contrasts with the bustling entertainment and gaming scene of nearby Las Vegas.

The downtown area is a photographer’s delight, featuring charming storefronts, local cafes, and art galleries. The tree-lined streets and vintage ambiance create a picturesque setting for capturing the unique character of this community.

You can also photograph stunning examples of Art Deco and Pueblo Revival architecture, showcasing the styles prevalent during the time of its construction.

The Boulder City Historic District, with its tree-lined streets and carefully preserved buildings, offers a picturesque backdrop for photography enthusiasts. Don’t miss the opportunity to photograph the iconic Boulder Dam Hotel, dating back to the 1930s!

For nature-inspired photography within the city limits, explore Wilbur Square Park. This green oasis provides a peaceful retreat with its well-maintained pathways, mature trees, and a tranquil atmosphere.
