Dave Rhodes has been in the photo industry, perfecting his craft for over 40 years. He first started selling cameras at a store in Tempe, Arizona, where his love for photography began and grew. Starting with just a Kodak point-and-shoot, Dave began winning awards at state fairs and photography clubs. He quickly learned that he loved helping others with their passion for photography, teaching them how to use their equipment and various photo techniques. This led to a 38-year career in the photographic industry, working for major camera companies like Minolta, Nikon, Sony, Casio, and Panasonic.
Dave now teaches and owns his own workshop and photo supply company covering the United States. Wild Photo Adventure operates with a blend of travel, photography, and creative learning in mind, encouraging people to experience hands-on learning techniques. Dave works with his twin brother, Dale, and both have spent most of the last thirty-plus years in the photography and camera business. The brothers share a passion for photography but come from different backgrounds.
Past workshops include recent Solar Eclipses, Mono Lake and Bodie Ghost Town night photography workshops, and portrait workshops at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Valley of Fire, and Joshua Tree National Forest. Dave shoots with a Sony camera but is experienced in teaching Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Olympus, and Panasonic shooters too!
