Hessam Ghahri is a Toronto-based photographer known for capturing emotionally charged, intimate images through beautiful light. Ghahri was raised surrounded by artists in a creatively expressive family who inspired Ghahri to become a visual storyteller. He has a natural ability to capture different cultures and share their voices. He is inspired to use photography and motion imagery to broaden the cultural experiences of others.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design under his belt, Ghahri further honed his craft by completing the photography program at Centennial College in Toronto. Now, he is currently teaching students of the Graphic Design and New Media Studies programs at Centennial College.
His experience in both design and photography have provided him with the required technical skills, creative vision and curiosity to work collaboratively with others, bringing with him an excitement to every new project.
In addition to his photography pursuits, Ghahri channels his knowledge and enthusiasm into teaching photo workshops, sharing his wealth of experience and inspiring others to embark on their own creative journeys. Each workshop becomes an opportunity for him to impart his skills, ignite curiosity, and foster a sense of excitement for the art of visual storytelling.
