The McGovern Centennial Gardens has everything a photographer would want as subject matter, from a Chinese Temple, reflecting pools and a 30 foot incline to capture panoramic scenes from above.
There are life size sculptures of Gandhi and Martin Luther King and exotic busts of ten Spanish Heroes atop 4 foot pedestals. Your Digital Photo Academy instructor will demonstrate and supervise composition strategies from various angles and groupings to turn a snapshot into a compelling image.
Practice Shutter Speed Controls at a number of fountains to render a velvet smooth impressionistic flow of water or just the opposite, a crystal clear stop action depiction of the water as if it were frozen in time.
You will find colorful flower gardens galore to photograph as a mural of many colors as well as singular closeup portraits revealing a delicate parallel universe offering a close look of the stamen and petals, sensual shapes and curves in brilliant colors.
