Venue Description:

Strolling along Venice Beach, you can encounter local artists selling their paintings, skateboarders practicing new moves, and musclemen showing off their guns.  Join your DPA instructor to photograph and enjoy the thrills and intriguing characters that Venice Beach has to offer.

Shooting in such a diverse area full of nature and culture creates a host of possibilities to create breath-taking images.  As you photograph alongside a professional photographer, they will share new techniques to capture skateboarders in motion, accentuate the colors of the water, and find new angles to experiment with street photography.

You will also have the opportunity to shoot wide-angle photographs of the boardwalk and portraits of its satisfied passerbys.

Meeting Spot:

Meet your instructor at the corner of 20th Ave and Ocean Front Walk, directly next to the Venice Beach Paddle Tennis Courts.

This corner is located just outside the Venice Beach Parking Lot (2100 Ocean Front Walk) — where the parking lot meets the paddle tennis courts.

Please bring your DSLR or another type of digital camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and the equipment that you can carry.  Be sure to dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a bottle of water if it is hot.
