Join our photo lessons at the Vista House, which is one of the excellent locales in the rotation of many Portland venues that offer terrific photo opportunities.
Your Digital Photo Academy Instructor will demonstrate spectacular vistas of ever-changing forestry, whether the vibrant leaves in Autumn, the lush greenery in Summer or stark pattern of trees in the Winter. Beyond the forests, 733 feet below is the endless Columbia River, offering spectacular sunsets and sunrises as well as kite surfers with graceful acrobatic performances as the soar 200 feet in the air.
There are endless photo ops of the old word German, “Art Nouveau,” architectural wonder of the Vista House itself, which dates back to 1915, built as a resting stop and inspiration to travelers, situated on the summit of Crown Point, an awe inspiring experience for anyone who finds themselves at this locale. Catch broad scenics but save time for closeup macro photos of the flowers and various plants as well as the array of wildlife creature travel past your lens by land and by air.
The Crown Point is a basalt promontory shaped by the same volcanic lava flows, floods and winds that created the Columbia River Gorge. The old-world structure, grand dome in particular creates your chance to blend the shape of the building beneath and against the skies for an unforgettable vision for your camera and memories well into the future when you have long left the venue.
