Lenox and 110th is an excellent starting point for a photographer to capture the vibrancy of Harlem, beginning with street portraits of passerby’s, depicted picturesquely in broad images of an avenue complete with store fronts and pedestrians amidst colorful daily life activities. You will also come upon willing subjects, sitting on a stoop or standing in front of a place of business identified by old world neon signage or a vintage brownstone that transports one back to a former era. The images in this accompanying slide show richly illustrate the locals of Harlem, as captured by the award-winning photographer, Marla Mossman, well known for her long running project, The Peace Caravan Project which documents the places of historical and religious significance along the ancient Silk Roads and other trade routes of the Far East.
Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number. It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering. If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at [email protected].
