Learn How To Use Your Digital Camera

Master Your Camera Controls/The Newark Museum of Art

Master Your Camera Controls at The Newark Museum of Art

In this photo workshop, you’ll learn the controls of your specific camera or cellphone to take fantastic photographs. This course is helpful to any camera owner, no matter which company made their DSLR, mirrorless camera or any cellphone.

For each Master Your Camera Controls class, 5 attendees arrive 90 minutes before the same day Composition in the Field class.  This class adds onto the SIT DOWN Master Your Camera Control session. You will learn from three hours of walking around with other students. The teacher shows you easy-to-learn composition tricks, turning snapshots into compelling images.

The Master Your Camera Control session is always taught very close to the meeting spot of the Composition in the Field session. This makes it easy for those who want to enroll in both classes. Always check the schedule which you can do by clicking back on to the overall city schedule.

Learning your Camera Controls is Very Important

Some photographers believe that a mix of SIT DOWN to study the camera controls is more effective when combined with walking around with the same teacher. This way, the teacher can show you powerful tricks that are easy to learn. You will elevate a snapshot into a more appealing photograph.
Photo composition lessons are an ideal approach to best learn to advance your photo skills and make visually appealing photographs. You’ll learn basic composition skills that will be a creative asset for all future photography. You can take your camera off automatic, as your teacher explains manual controls. You’ll then walk around for 3 hours learning composition strategies from your teacher.

Maximum of Five Attendees

Only 5 people, at most, can attend the SIT DOWN Master Your Camera Control class. But a maximum of 12 are allowed to take the walk around Composition in the Field Class. (Any more than 5 separate cameras in Master Your Camera Control class would become confusing for all students.)
All Master Your Camera Controls classes are held within 5 minutes walking distance of Composition in the Field classes. Both classes take place back to back. So your meeting place for this Master Your Camera Control class will be at the same meeting place as the subsequent Composition in the Field class.
Also, on the Friday night before the weekend of your workshop, you will receive an e-mail REMINDER providing the EXACT meeting place. Also you will receive your instructor’s cell number and they will have your cell number and email address.
Your instructor will also want to know in advance the exact make and model of the camera you’ll bring. Your registration form will ask you for this information in a follow-up email after you register for the class.
