Looking for a unique and memorable way to spend quality time with someone special—especially with Valentine’s season in the air?
Explore the art of photography together at a Photo Workshop Date, chaperoned by Digital Photo Academy!
Workshop Details:
When you think of a date, the first thing that might come to mind is a romantic evening. However, at Digital Photo Academy, we believe a ‘date’ can be any shared moment between two people. This engaging workshop is open to pairs of all kinds—whether friends, family members, or romantic partners. Instead of the usual outings, why not immerse yourselves in capturing your surroundings and each other, creating lasting memories in the process.
In this two-hour session, you’ll explore the fundamentals of photography in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through understanding your camera settings and the basics of composing a powerful image, ensuring you both feel confident as you capture impactful images.
Your instructor will offer guidance for both of you to photograph each other and even suggest striking poses.
Your instructor will help you capture your surroundings.
Additionally, our instructor will take candid shots of your duo, capturing those genuine, spontaneous moments for you to cherish.
At the end of the session, select 1 of your photos, and your instructor will demonstrate ways to digitally enhance it so you can print a hard-copy memory of the occasion.
No matter if you’re seasoned photographers or just starting, our private Photo Workshop Date is the perfect opportunity for any two people looking to connect, share laughs, and unleash creativity.
What to Expect:
- A fun and interactive two-hour workshop
- Expert instruction on photography fundamentals (camera controls and composing images)
- Hands-on practice with personalized guidance
- Candid shots of your pair taken by our instructor
- 1 digitally enhanced photo with a demonstration on enhancement techniques

Duration: 2 hours
Price: $350 per couple
Note: Please bring only one camera per pair.

Valley of Fire State Park Photo Workshop
We’re excited to feature Dave Rhodes and his Wild Photo Adventure workshops!
With over 30 years of experience, Dave offers unique workshops that combine travel, hands-on learning, and the beauty of nature.
Here’s a look at one of his upcoming photo workshops!
Experience a full-day photography adventure in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada’s oldest and largest state park, known for its vivid red rock formations, ancient petroglyphs, and dramatic desert landscapes.
This workshop offers hands-on instruction for photographers of all skill levels.
- Dates: March 21, 2025
- Location: Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada
- Cost: $125
- Group Size: Limited to 10 participants
- Activity Level: Moderate hiking over uneven terrain
Start with a Meet & Greet in Las Vegas (March 20, 5 PM) before an early morning departure. Spend the day capturing Fire Wave, White Domes, Slot Canyon, Fire Canyon Overlook, Rainbow Vista, and more, ending with a sunset shoot. Wrap up with an image critique session back in Las Vegas.

Digital Photo Academy Denver Instructor Russ Croop—a Colorado native with a lifelong passion for photography—shares his expertise by making creative videos.
With photo experience ranging from teaching to capturing stunning images across the US and Europe, Russ brings a wealth of experience to every shot.
In this video, Russ explores the art of silhouettes, shadows, and reflections, demonstrating light and composition can create striking and visually compelling images.

It seems that many of our members have found a sense of belonging in Celebrating Senior Shutterbugs, turning what can often be a feeling of isolation for seniors into a welcoming and supportive space.
