The Dania Pier provides an array of photo ops, from people photography on the busy and eclectic pier itself, with bikers and skateboarders to dog walkers and couples walking hand in hand. But the best feature of Dania Pier is the ocean and its actual pier as reflected in the slide show herein. You will be making your images in the later hours culminating with the setting sun, which offers lovely skies above the romance of the ocean.

Your instructor will share tips on accommodating any unwanted glare of the sun on the surface of the water, and share composition ideas to catch the scene as a peopleless narrative as well as how one might catch the silhouette of a fisherman, a couple strolling along or kids at play. There are also interesting seating areas that can add a visual accessory to your beach scene and certain ways of composing to create more visually arresting images.

The boardwalk is conducive to a variety of composition strategies, certainly the Leading Lines approach to bring the viewer of your image into the inner depths of the frame. Also learn to tune into “Patterns and Textures” with the structures shot close up or from broader perspectives to help the viewer fall into a trance of repeating formations that continue to infinity. Maybe concentrate on the ocean at a closer view by itself to offer the magical shades and colors, or its proximity to the vertical columns of the pier for a more abstract interpretation.

Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number.  It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering.  If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at DPAbooking@digitalphotoacademy.com.

You will meet your instructor at the entrance of the Pier:

300 North Beach Rd

Dania Beach, FL 33004
