Learn How To Use Your Digital Camera

Jerry Williams

Jerry Williams

Jerry Williams discovered his passion for photography in the 1970s in Pinckney, Michigan, where he grew up capturing family moments during holiday gatherings.

His first camera, a 126 cartridge film model, sparked his fascination with the art. By 1974, he had upgraded to a Canon FTB manual camera, and two years later, he added a Canon AE-1, which remains in his collection today. He further honed his skills with a Mamiya 645 medium format camera. While these were his preferred tools, he has experience with a wide range of camera types and brands.

For seven years, Jerry photographed weddings and family portraits, gaining valuable experience and refining his technique. Although these areas have been a significant part of his career, Jerry’s expertise extends well beyond them. About 20 years ago, he transitioned from film to digital photography as the cost of processing film rose. Today, Jerry runs a full-service photography studio, specializing in using light and shadow to create striking, natural images with minimal retouching.

Driven by his belief that photography is an art form meant to be shared and cherished, Jerry works closely with students to produce images that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. His goal is to help them create photographs they’ll be proud to display and treasure for years to come.

We didn’t take any photos, but that’s ok. We enjoyed our time.
