Ken Pino

Ken Pino

Over 40 years ago, Ken opened the doors to A Better Byte Computer Consulting Company, offering programming, consulting and graphic design services to both large and small companies in and around Chicagoland. 10 years ago, in collaboration with his then 8 year old son (James), he opened the doors to JJP Designs; offering multimedia services focusing on “Telling the Story”, through photography, videography and graphic design.

Ken’s passion drives him to capture that moment in time, seeing the world as it truly is; capturing and preserving that picture in its natural state.  He truly believes “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,” recognizing that everyone sees the world differently and hoping that everyone viewing his photographic images imagines what was happening in that moment.  He shares his passion through his teaching and mentoring of individuals and groups.  Through his patient and thoughtful approach, he is able to help people see what is in front of them through the lens of the camera and how to capture it to share with others, or just to enjoy again at later date.

Along with providing photography and videography services to many local youth groups such as dance troupes and school athletic, music and band programs, he freely volunteers his time and services to local non-profit organizations focusing on our local youth.

Ken’s name might seem familiar because, for the past 20 years, his byline regularly appears in multiple websites and publications, domestically and abroad, often as the cover image. Ken keeps up with the latest technologies, which is necessary to create top quality videos and photos across the continent. His assignments bring him to many destinations including, Quebec, New York City, San Diego, New Orleans, Washington DC, and of course, in and around Chicago. (Thanks to his array of clientele, he can get his workshop participants into places not ordinarily available to the public.)

Ken is also a member of Professional Photographers of America, (PPA), which includes workshop instruction. Amongst a number of accolades, Ken has been awarded special recognition by the Catholic Media Association, (CMA), for his photography and graphic design, where he is also a member.
