Ketring Park
Join our photo lessons at Ketring Park, one of the excellent locales in our rotation of Denver venues that offer terrific photo opportunities.
Venue Description:
Ketring Park is a photographer’s dream. This idyllic location, with its 55 acres, offers many nature photo opportunities, from beautiful reflections to geese. There are small waterfalls, flowers, water abstracts, bikes, bicycle riders, fishermen, and great wood abstracts. You will learn how to use shutter speed and f-stops to capture the best images.
After connecting with nature, the class will step into the past by visiting the Littleton Museum, part of the Ketring campus. The 1860s homestead farm and the 1890s turn-of-the-century urban farm represent how people lived and worked during the early years in Littleton. Museum staff and volunteers, dressed in period-appropriate costumes, work on the farm sites and run the working blacksmith shop. There are six old buildings offering great architectural images, as well as some great texture and abstract opportunities. There is a period house, fully decorated, offering more photo opportunities.
Meeting Spot:
Ketring Park – 6028 S Gallup St, Littleton, CO 80120.
It’s all free, and there’s plenty of parking. If the main parking is full, you can park at the library across the street. (There’s usually enough parking at the park entrance, but it’s good to have a backup plan!)
Contact Us:
Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number. It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering. If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at [email protected].
